Bill
Fligg:
Bill has 15 years experience coaching competitive baseball
& softball. He played Varsity Baseball in High School for 3 years as a pitcher/3rd baseman.
Played college baseball for 2 years and played professional baseball in the
California Angels system. He played Men's softball until
age 30. He started coaching baseball for boys ranging from age 5 to 15 yrs old
in the competitive division. He has won many league championships and placed 3rd
in Triple Crown World Series 2 different time. He also did some assistant coaching
with boys Fall baseball league at the high school level. He has coached girls Fastpitch
softball for about 4 years, 2 years at the 'B' level, taking a 12&U team
that had finished 12-29 the year before he joined them to 42-14-11 in 2000 with
3 Championship appearances, one 1st place finish and a 3rd Place finish in the
Colorado USSSA Championship. In 2001 he moved up to the 14&U division and
won the Colorado ASA 'B' State Championship along with 6 Tournament
Championship Game appearances and a final record of 67-20-1. His 2002 Lady
Warrior 14A Team finished 3rd in the USSSA Nationals, won 2 Tournament
Championships and finished the season with a 52-24-2 record at the 'A' level!
The next move was to 16A ball where they did well and won the 2003 USSSA 16A
Colorado State Championship. This young team completed the season with a 12th
place finish in the USSSA Nationals in Canton, Michigan finishing the season
with a 51-21-5 record. His 2004 team 16A Team won 3 tournaments, including the
only 16A team ever to win the prestigious Colorado Classic at the 18A division.
This team finished the season with a 61-26-5 record, placed 2nd in the USSSA
State Championships and finished 14th in the FAST Nationals in Orlando, Florida.
Bill has been named the 2003 Coach of the Year by the Colorado USSSA
Organization. Both the Warrior's Team and Lady Warrior's Organization are
very proud of this prestigious accomplishment and feel extremely fortunate to
have Bill coaching our kids! Congratulations Bill and have a great 2005 season!
Bill is very dedicated to his teams and introduces many of the advanced
fundamentals that he learned playing baseball beyond the collegiate level to his
team.
